Three Points is also known as "Robles Junction". Robles Junction is a rural community located about 25 miles southwest of Tucson, Arizona in the Altar Valley (see map). As you drive west on Ajo Highway (aka West Highway 86), you will see signs showing the distance to "Robles Junction". However, we are mostly referred to as "Three Points". Three Points residents use a Tucson mailing address. Sound confusing? It really isn't a bad drive to Tucson. Only 30 minutes to downtown Tucson.This IS NOT the official website for Three Points. The purpose of this site is to help newcomers to the area learn how to function here, because life is a bit different than in Tucson, which is a good thing to those who live here. It's probably one of the few areas surrounding Tucson which has remained rural. There's no trash service, no mass public transportation, and no full service supermarket. There is an Ace Hardware, along with several independently owned restaurants and small markets. With the continued explosive growth in the Tucson surrounding area, other services will come to Robles Junction eventually. Within these pages, you will find information the closest markets, grocery stores, attractions, and restaurants. You will also find contact information for utility companies and other resources.

What is really great about the area, is the fact that land is still affordable - the real estate market has not gone totally nuts here, like it has in Tucson and other surrounding communities, although the growth here has been noticeable. You can plop a manufactured home down on an acre or more, or you can build a custom home on your property. You can keep horses and other animals. Sunsets and stargazing cannot be matched anywhere else. Robles Junction fits well within the "smart growth" principle of housing for people of all income levels. The price for site built homes in the Diamond Bell Ranch CCR are valued at $200,000 and higher. These homes sell quickly. To save money, or to build their own custom dreamhome, some choose to buy land among the manufactured homes in the area and build their own beautiful custom home. There is truly a mixture of housing in Robles Junction.

Employment

There really aren't a lot of jobs in the immediate area. Some people commute to Tucson for work, some work in Three Points, and some people have utilized their entrepreneural abilities to work at home, or have opened a site to work close to home. Such an entrepreneur created an Internet company called TCSAT. The owner is a former Microsoft employee, who moved to the area due to his wife's love of horses. However, he had sacrificed his high speed internet connection in the move. Being an intelligent and innovative man, he decided that he could get himself "connected". He did, but then the neighbor heard about it, then the word spread like wildfire. High speed internet made it to Three Points! It is a very fast and reliable connection, and the personal customer service is awesome. TCSAT also installs DirecTV, since there is no cable company yet servicing the area. Their services come highly recommended.
